About Hunter Coast Therapy

Established in 2022, Hunter Coast Therapy (HCT) is an allied health practice based in Newcastle supporting children, families and NDIS participants across the Hunter region through Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy services.

Founded by a husband-and-wife team after experiencing burnout in larger healthcare organisations, HCT was built around a simple belief: when therapists feel supported and valued, they deliver better outcomes for the people they help.

What began as a small 12m² sub-lease office has quickly grown into a thriving Newcastle therapy practice with a team of 18 therapists and two dedicated spaces including our therapy gym and clinic hub.

Our commitment to strong culture and client outcomes has seen Hunter Coast Therapy recognised nationally, including finalist nominations in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards (2024 & 2025) and winning the Enablement Award for Australia’s Most Outstanding Speech Pathology Practice in 2024.

We have also achieved Certified Workplace Happiness Accreditation through BU Happiness College, exceeding industry benchmarks for workplace wellbeing.
